Onion

Onion are available in different forms: fresh, in extract or dehydrated in powder, chopped, minced or granulated. Onion has a sweet taste with a sulphurous note. When roasted, it develops a characteristic flavour. Dehydrated onions are moisture-sensitive. Therefore, avoid storage in a damp environment. One kilogram of dehydrated onions is equivalent to about eight kilograms of fresh onions.
